Quarters at Flinders Hotel is the 40 room award winning boutique hotel located in the heart of Flinders on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and is looking for a passionate Front Office Manager to lead the team. This accommodation compliments the first class food and beverage offerings of the Flinders Hotel which includes The Deck Bar & Bistro, Peninsula conferencing & events, Zigis Bar and Georgie Bass Café & Cookery school.
Quarters offers guests a luxurious and relaxing place to call home while holidaying, conferencing, playing golf or simply exploring the Mornington Peninsula.
The Front Office sets the bar in delivering excellent customer service at Flinders Hotel. Directly reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of our dynamic team working together to deliver an exceptional experience to our accommodation guests and all Flinders Hotel customers we come into contact with.
This is a great opportunity for a strong Assistant Manager to take the next step in their career.
The successful applicant will possess:
A natural leader with a ‘Hands On’ approach and ability to bring teams together
Strong work ethic, problem solving skills and attention to detail
Experience in hotel housekeeping coordination
Knowledge of RMS booking system not essential but highly regarded.
Knowledge of Siteminder or other channel manager programs highly regarded
Previous Managerial experience in similar position
Excellent verbal and written communications
An understanding of the importance of guest satisfaction and actioning guest feedback
Flexible working hours including nights, weekends and public holidays
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Provide guidance, support training leadership and development of the front office and housekeeping staff and creating a positive work environment
Oversee all aspects of operations
Helping foster a team culture to grow “Raving Fan and repeat guests” and handle guest complaints
Developing and building relationships with local attractions and restaurants
Manage and maximise occupancy, revenue, and average rate while maintaining high service standards;
Ensuring safety and security for guests and staff.
Drive revenue growth and operational efficiency through process improvement; understand and focus on the key drivers of sales and customer satisfaction, profitability, and quality
End of month financial reporting.
Assist in all hotel departments during peak times whilst ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
Work within set budgets in relation to wage costs and ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriate to demand.
Oversee all property maintenance to ensure high standards are adhered to
**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
