**Front Office Assistant/Duty Manager**
**About Us**
Located in the heart of Flinders on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Quarters at Flinders Hotel is the 40-room award winning boutique hotel. The accommodation compliments the first-class food and beverage offerings of the Flinders Hotel currently undergoing an exciting renovation.
The soon to be re-opened 26 room Motel Flinders, is a modern take on the classic roadside motel, following a comprehensive renovation and upgrade.
**About the Role**
Directly reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of our dynamic team working together to deliver an exceptional experience to our accommodation guests. This exciting new leadership role will involve you working across two properties.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day front office operations to ensure all responsibilities pertaining to the role are carried out proficiently.
Typical shifts are:
- 7.00am - 3.00pm
- 9.00am - 5.00pm
- 12.00pm - 8.00pm
**The successful applicant will be**:
- A natural leader with a ‘Hands On’ approach and ability to bring teams together.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Experienced in hotel reception check-in/check-out, and/or Restaurant Reservations (highly desirable).
- Possess strong work ethic, problem solving and attention to detail.
- Experienced in housekeeping coordination (highly desirable but not essential).
- An excellent communicator.
- Flexible to work on a 7-day rotating roster. You will not be required every weekend.
**The main responsibilities of the role are**:
- Managing the Guest Services team while on shift and creating a positive work environment.
- Helping foster a team culture to grow “raving and repeat guests”.
- Developing and building relationships with local attractions, wineries and restaurants.
- Ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process and addressing special guest requests.
- Providing concierge services such as dining recommendations, touring and local attractions, etc.
- Assisting in the induction and training of staff aligned with hotel policies and procedures.
- Monitoring the operation of the property and ensuring presentation is always at the agreed standard.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
