Verifact Traffic is a traffic management supplier with depots across southeast Queensland.

Verifact Traffic is currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will involve the processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls for in excess of 900 personnel. Previous payroll experience in a mid to large business is essential.

**What the role involves**:

- End-to-end payroll processing including payroll tax, superannuation, workcover, long service leave, redundancy calculations, leave accruals, interpreting awards and running various payroll-related duties;
- Reconciliation of reports and end-of-month processing;
- Ensuring all pays are issued correctly and within required timeframes;
- Maintaining accurate pay records, employee records and leave records;
- Responding to enquiries from employees regarding payroll matters in a prompt and confidential manner;
- Ensure payroll processing complies with legal, ethical and professional standards; &
- Other ad hoc Administration Duties where required.

**To be successful **in **this role**:

- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in payroll with sound knowledge of payroll procedures, organizational structure, Awards and other Industrial Instruments;
- Ability to interpret Awards and EBA's;
- Experience with site-based personnel and timesheets;
- Preceda experience is desirable;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; &
- Proven ability to plan and organise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Southern Suburbs & Logan Brisbane. A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
