**Your new company**
This fast-growing, well-known and established Municipality based in Regional Melbourne, is currently seeking for a Strategic Transport Planning Engineer to join their Transport Management Team on a temporary basis. This role will take a strategic approach to existing transport projects and the planning of new transport projects.
**Your new role**
- An integral part of this role will be to develop transportation strategies and plans to organise mass transport, to enhance the existing public transport network. You will be required to:
- Review, develop and consult on parking, cycling, safe travel and pedestrians
- Work with the Planning Team to develop transport strategies
- Take a strategic approach to planning future transport needs and project managing external consultants
**What you'll need to succeed**
You have significant Transport Planning or Engineering experience, ideally within a Local Government environment, along with an associated Civil Engineering qualification.
Additionally, you will have experience in:
- The planning and delivery of community transport projects
- Been involved in the consultation and planning phase of projects
- Proven ability at managing external consultancies, the wider community and working collaboratively across all areas.
