
Principal Transport Planner

- $65 - $73 p/h + super

**Aspect Personnel are currently working with a Council in Melbourne's eastern suburbs to recruit a Principal Transport Planner on a contract basis.**
**Purpose of role**:
- To lead transport network planning policy and outcomes that address the current and future needs of the Council in a professional, collaborative, and innovative manner.
- Provide leadership and direction on transport policy, planning and projects to create high quality transport connectivity outcomes for the Council.
- Provide quality and timely advice with a high focus on stakeholder management that supports a Connected City
**Your main responsibilities will be**:
**Transport Network Planning**
Lead multimode strategic planning for transport and land use integration, one or more transport modes, networks, areas and/or corridors, and ensure that relevant transport programs and service objectives are met.
**Advocacy and Leadership**
Lead and develop strong links and relationships with the transport sector, community organisations, State and Commonwealth government departments, non-government agencies and the private sector on transport network projects.
**General**
Manage consultants, stakeholders and other Council departments on transport network planning matters that require specialist transport planning advice to achieve positive outcomes for Council and the community.
