HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging, and older persons’ mental health.
**About The Role**
HammondCare regards this role as key in the delivery of relationship-based care which seeks to understand and value every individual as a whole person.
Reporting to the Pastoral Care Manager you will utilise and share your pastoral expertise, coaching staff, and volunteers to support the emotional and spiritual needs and goals of clients, their families, and staff.
**This permanent part-time position is based at our brand-new purpose built dementia care village at Daw Park. Daw Park has six home-like cottages designed for people living with dementia, with small household living for between 9 - 15 residents.**
**The position is 3 days per week (must be Wednesday - Friday) 22.8 hours per week.**
**About you**
- Strong understanding and experience of people living with dementia, the impact on carers, and journeys of grief and bereavement
- Strong personal and active Christian faith and church involvement
- Theological /Pastoral Care qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need
- Highly developed communication skills including listening, compassion and empathy
- Experience raising up, leading and supporting a team
- Strong administrative and computer skills
