**About the Role**

The **Building Manager** maintains a safe environment for team members and guests by overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the property. The building manager ensures the safety and security of building, coordinating, and managing maintenance and repair activities, and liaising with management and vendors to ensure safe and smooth daily building operations.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the safe and effective operations of all spas, saunas and hot pools
- Ensure Geothermal pool process are adhered to each night, ensuring timely opening of the pools each day
- Ensure all plant operates efficiently
- Ensure all aspects of the building is in good working and functional order
- Ensure all aspects of the property are compliant with New Zealand standards
- Oversee cleaning and maintenance teams
- Oversee the safety of occupants by ensuring building is free of hazards
- Oversee the maintenance of building facilities and report to appropriate authorities as required.
- Update emergency plans and procedures as required
- Implement building policies and regulations as required by WorkSafe NZ and Belgravia Leisure Group Health & Safety Team
- Ensure safe delivery of project works
- Supervise and direct work of grounds staff
- Arrange contractors for repairs and maintenance

Desired Skills & Experience

Essential
- Building experience and qualifications
- Related trade qualifications
- NZ Police Check

Desirable
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Certificate in Workplace Health & Safety or similar
- Ability to understand and speak Te Reo Maori
- Sound knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Ao Maori
- An understanding of Ngati Whakaue Culture
- An understanding of Te Whare Tapa Wha model
