Reporting to the Executive General Manager People, as the Head of People Business Partners your primary responsibility will be to lead the People Business Partnering team at AFL House and Marvel Stadium. This will involve setting a clear game plan with the team and providing role clarity, leadership and support to ensure people strategy is implemented in line with the needs of the business. You will also operate as a Senior People Business Partner to a dedicated customer group of your own within AFL House, working closely with senior leaders to provide both strategic and practical HR solutions which result in sustainable business results and growth of the AFL. You will also work closely with the Executive General Manager People to provide strategic leadership across AFL House and contribute both thought leadership and hands-on support to a number of longer-term strategic people initiatives, including leadership development, culture & engagement, workforce planning and diversity & inclusion.
This is a fast paced and busy role, requiring somebody who can flex between strategic leadership and operational delivery. In addition, you will need to bring:
- Proven experience as a senior Generalist leading teams in a fast paced, customer experience focused environment.
- Technical HR competence across the employee life cycle with knowledge of best practice people management thinking.
- Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to influence in a highly commercial HR environment.
- Proven ability to prioritise in a rapidly changing and dynamic landscape.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a relevant discipline.
- Passion for what you do and a sense of fun
