The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Workforce Services Coordinator to provide a critical role within Security & Emergency Services Group, Corrections Victoria.

**About the Business Unit**

The Security and Emergency Services Group (SESG) is committed to providing support to Corrections Victoria in being responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system which incorporates Prisons, Post Sentence Facilities and Community Corrections.

The SESG provides proactive security services and incident and emergency response to the correctional system. Provision of immediate and long term support through diverse portfolios such as incident response, high security escorts, barrier control, K9 services and state wide training is a core role of the SESG.

**About the Role**

The Workforce Services Coordinator is responsible for providing professional and efficient services that support the SESG's key workforce areas including, learning and development, leave and rostering coordination and staffing resources. This position will oversee the co-ordination of trainers and assessors whilst ensuring that training records for all SESG are maintained. Preparation of high level briefing and reports relating to various SESG functions will also be expected of this role.

The Workforce Services Coordinator is also responsible for the leadership and supervision of the Workforce Services Officers.

Some of your duties will include:

- Manage, plan and coordinate a wide variety of training and professional development requirements for the SESG to ensure mandatory qualifications are maintained in accordance with operational requirements
- Manage, supervise and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the SESG Workforce Services office including roster creation, day sheet creation, data input, processing and retrieval of information.
- Provide team leadership, including mentoring, motivating and address the training requirements of the Team.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Sound understanding of the Victorian Corrections operating system
- Knowledge of the SESG roles and functions will be highly regarded
- Knowledge and experience in Time Target systems and processing will be advantageous
- Knowledge and experience in the departments Learning Management System will be advantageous
