Hays is currently partnered with a state government organisation to recruit 3 x Workforce Services Officer in a permanent capacity. This company is responsible for child protection, prevention of family violence, housing, disability, multicultural affairs, LGBTIQ+ equality, veterans, and the offices for Women and Youth.

Your new role
This role will provide generalist human resources (HR) advice, coordinate recruitment and safety screening processes, maintain accurate and comprehensive employee records and provide assistance

Responsibilities will include:

- Provide generalist human resources (HR) advice and support to managers and staff on a range of issues including recruitment, policies and practices, safety screening, leave queries, training and development and pay policy.
- Answer queries, provide timely advice and take follow up action as required.
- Participate in the recruitment process including organising, preparing for and participating in interview panels, writing up selection reports and on-boarding new starters.
- Participate in the exit interview process through organisation and conducting interviews and writing up of notes.
- Participate in the implementation of new and changed strategies and practices, to improve the quality of people services outcomes across the department as required.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Identify and work collaboratively to implement system improvements within unit or professional field.
- Undertake more complex tasks under direction.
