ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and driven individual to manage our Conference Centre facility and lead its transformation. As the Conference Centre Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a commercially viable and high-quality experience to our internal and external members/customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a small team to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, meeting service standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations, compliance, and policies as the conference centre licensee
- Coordinate in-house facilities for events, including setup, catering, and AV
- Lead and develop the team, ensuring compliance, exceptional customer service, and open dialogue on performance and development
- Maintain catering kitchens, storerooms, and stock levels with responsible practices for alcohol and food handling
- Continuously improve processes for compliance, resource utilization, and budget management.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key liaison point.
- Cultivate supplier relationships, review and negotiate service levels, and ensure competitive pricing.
- Gather customer information for product and service enhancements.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in hospitality/functions/events
- Proven experience in team management and budget oversight
- Exposure to a corporate work environment
- Proficiency in computer systems, software, and audio-visual equipment troubleshooting
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in both team and independent work settings
- Strong organizational skills with a growth mindset
- Relevant certifications (RSA, food handling and safety)
- Eligibility to become the liquor license holder for the conference centre.
