We are looking for a Council and Civic Support Team Leader to provide day-to-day management and leadership of the Council and Civic Support team. This position will be responsible for enabling the delivery of high-profile Civic events including Citizenship and Ceremonial functions.

The Council and Civil Support Team Leader will also be responsible for coordination of Lord Mayor and Elected Member enquiries, working with other business units to assist the Chief of Staff to deliver on Council decisions. In addition, this position manages the administration of the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund (LMDRF).

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position will support the City by:

- Leading effective, and efficient delivery of support to the Lord Mayor, Elected Members, and Chief of Staff in Stakeholder liaison, civic and hospitality services, civic and organisational event coordination, project delivery and executive support services.
- Monitoring, coordinating, and continuously improving the activities of the Council and Civic Support Team to ensure high standards of customer service and compliance with legislative requirements, policies, and corporate protocols.
- Continuously review levels of service and benchmark efficiency and effectiveness to enhance performance outcomes.
- Developing service delivery plans and providing operational direction for the team with proactive performance reviews and development opportunities to build agility and capability.
- Coordinating the delivery of civic, ceremonial, and Chief Executive Officer directed organisational events including citizenship ceremonies to ensure they meet protocols and enhance the City’s reputation.
