Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for pursuing and maintaining relationships with intermediary clients and prospects. This position implements the sales strategy to appropriately position our solutions to grow our local client base and the ongoing servicing of existing clients. This person will be a key member of the broader Intermediary Australia team reporting to the Head of Intermediaries for Australia. They will represent the company at industry events including PD Days and conferences, and as a key member of the broader Intermediary Australia team, provide insights and share ideas amongst the team.

Principal Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is growing and servicing of advisers in parts of Sydney and NSW
- Meet with financial advisers across the spectrum of IFA, aligned, brokers, Private Wealth and achieve activity target
- Achieve gross and net flow target whilst diversifying the business across the range of Australian Unit Trusts & SMA
- Represent T.Rowe Price at industry & hosted events, conferences and present on investment topics to groups of advisers
- Coordinates sales opportunities for assigned clients across T. Rowe Price business units as necessary.
- Partners with marketing team contacts and other sales teams to develop promotional and pitch ideas and materials.
- Analyzes complex data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance. Leverages data and uses complex key metrics to directly manage and respond to client inquiries; resolves problems and makes recommendations within scope of knowledge.

Ideal Experience
- Proven record in intermediary business development across multiple asset classes within a respected multinational asset management firm.
- Deep knowledge and experience of Australian Intermediary platform market.
- A sophisticated understanding of investing and ideally a proven ability to identify product trends and to advise the design of appropriate products to meet investor demands.
- Existing relationships in the intermediary market preferred.
- Client facing experience.
- University graduate with good academic qualifications.

- Sales skills - should be sales and results oriented with an entrepreneurial passion for developing businesses.
- There are multiple opportunities that this individual can seize on behalf of the firm to build and expand our distribution foot print.
- Understand the growth dynamic/change taking place in the Australian market and have the ability to leverage T Rowe's relevant products and solutions in each channel with the respective platforms.
- It is imperative for the RM to build relationships and have a high level of client servicing and responsiveness to client questions/queries.
- Collegiate mentality - must be a strong fit with T Rowe Price’s unique culture and able to work successfully with the firm’s investment professionals by establishing peer credibility. This individual will realize and act upon the importance of creating a solid internal network with our associates in London, Baltimore, Singapore and Hong Kong.
