The Opportunity
Located in Sunbury, Cornish Grange Retirement Village is a well-established community set on beautifully maintained grounds and gardens. Home to 100+ independent living villas, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, culture and services of the community. You'll have an enthusiastic approach to customer service, coupled with financial acumen, strong negotiation skills and a focus on compliance. However, your customer service and engagement skills are where you excel. You will lead from the front and will develop mutually beneficial relationships with residents to positively promote Cornish Grange Retirement Village. This is a resident-facing operations management position - if you have previous experience in the hospitality or hotel industry, come and make the switch to retirement living

**You will**:
- Coordinate all daily operations of village services including safety, security, maintenance, compliance and events
- Build resident satisfaction by creating a vibrant and inclusive culture throughout the community that is built on communication, professionalism and respect
- Implement village financial budgets and be responsible for all financial performance of the village
- Ensure correct implementation and ongoing village compliance with all policies and procedures (including ensuring correct administrative processes are in place and followed)
- Manage a small team including hiring, rostering/timesheets and performance management
- Liaise with internal and external teams including but not limited to: sales, marketing, legal, safety, home care and external contractors
- Enable residents to maintain their optimum degree of independence, choice and quality of life & maintain effective inter-personal relations with residents and their families
**What you'll bring**:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing management role (e.g Hotel/Tourism, Retirement Living, Operations, Property or Facilities Management etc.)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills where you pride yourself on your customer service, communication, professionalism, empathy and negotiation skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel PowerPoint)
- Experience in developing, implementing, managing and presenting financial budgets
- An autonomous, proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong focus on results and resident satisfaction
- Minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
