Less than 45 minutes north-west of Melbourne and 20 minutes from Melbourne Airport. Sunbury is renowned for its native wildlife, geological marvels, award-winning wineries, beautiful scenery and historical significance. Sunbury is the birthplace of The Ashes and has the rural charms of the country as well as the urban convenience of a neat town centre.

Sunbury Vet Clinic being part of the community since 1970. Providing a high standard of health care to a variety of pets including cats, dogs, some birds and reptiles and the occasional native animal.

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Manager to assist the lead veterinarian with achieving clinical and business success. This role will suit an individual that enjoys contributing to the success of others by sharing their own knowledge and expertise.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the team in executing the day-to-day operations to maximise efficiency and a smooth workflow
- Ensuring the client experience is excellent
- Recruitment, rostering, and management of staff & their development
- Implementation and maintenance of uncompromising standards of care
- Promoting and upholding the Company’s vision and values
- Leading and developing the team and maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Problem solving and teaching from any issues that may arise
- Creating and implementing local marketing initiatives
- Work closely with the Lead Veterinarian to review P&L’s and achieve targets and budgets

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Proven business management and team leadership experience. A Cert IV in Business is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in the Veterinary industry preferred although not essential, but proven ability to ensure an excellent client experience in a previous management role is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and time management skills with an ability to work to deadlines
- Able to delegate and empower staff
