Altona Cold Storage is in search of an Accounts Officer to oversee all accounting operations at ACS. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and aiding in informed decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage all accounting transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles & methodologies, problem solving and influencing.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & other data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently & meet tight deadlines.
- Strong time management skills
- Oversee job costing.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Allocate funds received against client invoices, reconciling to remittance advices where available.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and review invoices and checking requests.

**Qualifications**:

- Accounting, Finance, or related field qualification is essential.
- Warehouse Management systems literate.
- Understanding of MHE & traffic management.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience with MYOB or similar accounting software package is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
