**Elective Surgery Access Manager - Bookings Office**

The Women’s offers treatment for all gynaecological conditions and is a tertiary referral centre for women with chronic pelvic pain, issues related to menopause, pelvic floor and other urogynaecological problems, and terminations of pregnancy.

The Elective Surgery Access Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the Elective Surgery Bookings Office. The Bookings Office is responsible for providing the elective surgery waiting list management services to the Women’s Hospital in Parkville and the Women’s at Sandringham and is part of the Perioperative Services team.
**Your contribution**
**Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following**:
- Provide Strategic and Corporate Direction to Waiting List management in accordance with The Royal Women’s Hospital Health Service Agreement, Statement of Priorities and Strategic Plan.
- Review, develop and implement strategies in which elective surgery waiting list practices may best provide an efficient service
- Lead the bookings team in a positive culture workplace and achieving both Unit and Hospital goals
- Forecast admissions and plan for elective surgery activity to achieve KPI’s
- All internal HR co-ordination within the Bookings Office, recruitment and retention, leave management and orientation of new staff.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism by communicating effectively and in a timely manner with staff.
- Participate and support staff in the conduction of agreed audits, data collection and documentation for accreditation processes and seek to continually improve standards and outcomes.
**About you**
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
- Recent clinical management / leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge of Elective Surgery Information Systems (ESIS) reporting and DHHS elective surgery policies & manuals.

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care.
As this role fits into category C of the Victorian Health Department’s risk ratings, applicants are encouraged to be vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required
