Your Role
The Head of Inclusive Practices (also known as the Head of Special Education Services) is accountable to and operates under the direction of the school's Principal.

You will have responsibility for leading the following key tasks through Instructional Leadership practices:

Lead the Supportive Education Program's staff to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students

*
Lead the school's Inclusion Performance Team through the promotion of action orientated initiatives that align with the Inclusion Education Policy

*
Prioritise success and wellbeing of all students by targeting the Every Student Succeeding - State Schools Improvement strategy

*
Lead the school's Auslan team to improve student outcomes and implement world class initiatives

*
Lead whole-school NCCD practices

*
Be futures oriented and strategic

*
Set high standards for student and staff performance

*
Lead the development of the Department Improvement Plan

*
Implement department work programs and plans

*
Use data to identify the learning needs of students and staff

*
Track individual student progress and class progress within the department

*
Respond to and implement strategies that address school learning priorities

*
Actively participate in life-long learning and ongoing professional development

*
Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies and community groups

*
Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the department to achieve goals
