**Description**:
Job summary
Martinus are seeking a Safety Advisor with brownfield rail construction experience, to support the Albury to Parkes (A2P) - Inland Rail Project. This position is FIFO/DIDO based onsite in Forbes, NSW.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide advice and drive continuous improvement to support the project team in maintaining a safe workplace
- Promote and facilitate the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan to our staff, vendors and sub-contractors on site
- Monitor HSE performance of the project/site teams and contractors, ensuring that activities comply with related legislation and company policy
- Coordinate safety toolbox meetings with staff and subcontractor personnel
- Conduct HSE inspections, audits, investigations and training/awareness
- Assist in the development and compilation of relevant HSE documentation
**Skills and Experiences**:
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Prior experience working on brownfield rail construction projects
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Qualifications or experience in Training and Assessment, and Drug and Alcohol testing
- Sound understanding of the Australian legal framework, state Legislation and environmental management systems
- Effective communication and ability to engage, build relationships and advise stakeholders across all levels
