HSEQ Advisor

**Your new company**
This award-winning, medium size local civil contractor has been operating in Canberra for over 35 years. Throughout the years, the company has steadily and sustainably grown, taking on larger and more technical projects. This highly experienced civil construction company specialise in technical infrastructure projects that sit outside the comfort zone of typical contractors. They have a strong focus on safety, innovation and quality and are looking for a full time HSEQ Advisor to join the team.

**Your new role**
As the HSEQ Advisor you will have responsibility of the following;
- Report directly to supportive HSEQ Manager
- Responsible for driving a strong safety culture on site
- Update and maintain the corporate IMS and WHS & QA Plans
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, including investigations, reporting and escalation
- Support and drive HSEQ initiatives
- Ensure competent and capable workforce through WHS Training
- Conduct routine safety inspections, monitoring and alaysis of work environments
- Other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Certificate IV in WHS
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of legislative, regulatory and standard requirements including the Australian Building and Construction Commission, Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner
- Ability to positive influence the evolution of safety culture
- Collaborative communication skills and ability to consult and influence in construction environment.
