**Your new role**

The **full-time Transport Manager** role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of **Metropolitan Transport Department based in Auburn 2144**. You will have proven track record in transport management, along with strong people leadership skills, ability to drive productivity and continuous improvement, and proficiency in using transport management software and other relevant technology.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures; keep up to date with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Lead, coach and train a team of supervisors, drivers and other staff, ensure they are well-equipped to achieve their performance goals
- Oversee the daily operations, including effective scheduling of routes, timely delivery of goods to the retail network and vehicle maintenance
- Utilise metrics and analyse data to track performance progress of staff and department and generate relevant report on a regular basis
- Drive continuous service delivery improvement, aim to increase productivity and effective utilisation of the Society's resources/assets.
- Qualifications in business supply chain and transport / logistics management
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and generate reports
- Knowledge of transport management software and proficiency in using other relevant technology
- Current NSW Driver Licence; Truck Licence is preferred
- Current Forklift Licence.
