The role of Employee Relations Specialist will be to support the implementation of employee relations strategy during a time of unprecedented change for Origin and our industry. The role will uplift Origin’s capability to deal with employee relations matters identifying risks and addressing risks, coaching business leaders and People & Culture consultants, driving continual improvement to employee relations practices and proactive workplace interventions. Operating with high degrees of autonomy, this is an opportunity for you to showcase your employee relations and generalist HR expertise to create lasting impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support in the implementation of ER strategy and the identification of improvement opportunities and drive improvement to practices
- Support and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants on ER matters nationally, including taking ownership of material escalations
- Preparation of reporting insights and trends to Board level
- Provide coaching and training to business leaders and P&C teams to build knowledge and experience
**IS THIS YOU?**
To be considered for this role you will have an appropriate degree qualification in either Business/ Law/ Employee or Industrial Relations. More importantly you will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the solid experience in Employee/ Workplace Relations in complex and large organisations
You will have or be able to show:
- A customer centric mindset that considers the implications of ER matters on all parties involved
- Possess a high level of judgment and discretion in supporting matters of material risk and sensitivity in large, publicly owned companies
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and resolve conflict up to and including at Executive level
- Track record of designing and implementing effective ER learning packages and related interventions
- Experience in Project and Program management
- An ability to effectively manage during times of change and uncertainty.
It would be advantageous if you could also demonstrate:
- Exposure to designing and developing interventions that support root-cause level impact to ER risk
- Highly developed analysis skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative indicators of ER health and advise business accordingly
- Proven ability to coach in a matrix style structure
