**About the role**:
Origin Energy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead wholesale pricing activities as part of our Wholesale & Trading division in Sydney. This role involves leading the Pricing Operations team, ensuring high performance and engagement while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal obligations. You will be pivotal in delivering bespoke pricing for large customers, minimising risk, and maximising potential margins. Additionally, you'll foster innovation within the team, addressing operational challenges by effectively managing resources and priorities.

Working with Origins retail businesses including Origin Zero and LPG, you will be instrumental in managing price risks associated with new products as our business leans into the energy transition with innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain a high-performing team through considered recruitment, continuous education, guidance, appraisals, and transparent leadership.
- Manage resources across Pricing Operations to support business capabilities in a dynamic energy portfolio including providing input into whole of business initiatives.
- Ensure all quoting adheres to Delegations of Authority including seeking approval of offers from Executive Leadership and Board where required.
- Provide input and approval for bespoke product offerings to large customers, considering and reporting all risks accurately.
- Ensure system and process outputs deliver reliable and consistent data views to support decision-making.
- Advocate for sustainable practices to maintain the integrity of the wholesale business while delivering whole of business value

**What you will bring**:

- 5-10 years of experience in the energy industry and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure and significant experience with economic pricing concepts.
- High numerical and analytical skills with excellent digital literacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly.
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives and futures markets, and experience with regulatory environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and the ability to innovate and analyse data.
