**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure all deliveries are made in correct manner and time frame and monitor driver credits
- Maintain vehicles ensuring services are carried out when and as required
- Ensure staff evaluation, recruitment and training procedures are adhered to
- Ensure wages, budgets and freight charges are kept within guidelines
- Follow company procedures relating to any issues raised regarding drivers
- Involve and receive feedback from supervisors daily/ongoing
- Fleet management on a daily basis for vehicle uptime and scheduled servicing
- Management of the chain of responsibility
- Co-ordinate effective and efficient routing of all trucks and staff to ensure maximum delivery and service
- Regular discussion with Sales Representatives in regards to customer requirements and driver feedback
- Attend daily sales, operations and credit meetings.
- Identify credits, daily collection of invoice to be presented

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Knowledge of the Food Service Distributions industry
- Possess AFM Accreditation
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure with good time management skills
- Sound knowledge of routing systems and ERP systems such as MFG PRO
- Prior proven experience in people management
- A solid knowledge of HACCP and OH & S regulations including BFM legislation
- Good product knowledge and new customers
- Flexible and reliable
- HR truck license (advantageous)
- Be a problem solver externally and internally
