**Role impact & contribution**

The **Associate Director** will lead and manage the consultation, development and implementation of the FMS Budget Review Process and associated key projects and deliverables, primarily:

- Develop and implement the various BPR Frameworks and FMS Budget calendar
- this is a project management function supporting the respective Framework leads with timely delivery of each Framework.
- Develop, test and implement the Budget and HYR FMS process governance documents - this will comprise preparing a governance document for each process, working with the respective FMS teams and then testing with respective process owners across Treasury and relevant State-Owned Corporations (SOCs).

The role engages, consults and collaborates with a broad range of Treasury and SOCs colleagues.

The Budget Process Review is a priority for the Treasurer and Secretary, comprising the development of various Frameworks to enhance the processes FMS is responsible for/contributes to each Budget and HYR. That is an opportunity to gain insights and experience across all the Divisions in FMS who either contribute to budget and HYR or provide systems / process support (like legal and IT) and contribute directly to improving the budget process.

- Strong Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards, and demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, to collaborate with colleagues and negotiate with senior stakeholders in a complex, fast paced environment in order to influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing policies, strategies or programs to achieve strategic objectives.
- Previous experience in the Treasury budget process.
