What is the role?
Reporting into the General Manager of People and Capability and forming part of a collaborative P&C team we are seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join our Brisbane Head Office.
In this role, you will play a critical part in driving Lorna Jane's people strategy by partnering with leaders of the business to provide guidance on HR best practices, leadership development, and people management.
What You’ll be doing
**As our People Business Partner you’ll**:
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals and driving organisational effectiveness.
- Lead and manage employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, and terminations across retail and HQ teams.
- Coach and support leaders on workforce planning, performance conversations, and conflict resolution.
- Use people metrics and workforce analytics to provide insights and influence strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with workplace legislation and provide expert guidance on Modern Awards and HR risk management.
- Design and implement talent and succession strategies that build leadership capability and future-proof the business.
- Champion culture initiatives and lead people-related change across business units.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and tools to support scalable growth.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver commercial and cultural outcomes aligned with company values.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and collaboration, building strong relationships with stakeholders to support internal mobility and employee growth.
Who We’re Looking For
**We’re seeking someone who has**:
- 3 + years’ experience in HR Generalist/Business Partner role.
- Knowledge and understanding of employment related legislation and Award interpretation.
- Formal HR-related qualification.
- People leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
- The ability to effectively partner with all levels of leadership within the business.
- Effective time management to plan and organise with competing priorities.
- Exceptional employment relations case management experience including complex and difficult matters.
- Robust problem-solving skills and decision making.
- Ability to communicate effectively and with intention.
- Advantageous if you also have Health and Safety Experience.
