Introduction
We are seeking a Business development Manager, Pumps to join our Pumps team. You will support and develop the Pumps Business Lines technologies portfolio - Pumps, Valves, Hose and Cyclones, with a focus on end user sites and Head Offices.
You will collaborate with the other business teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
In this position, you will report to the Director, Pumps. This position will be based in Brisbane, though we are open to other locations in Eastern Australia.
What you'll do
Responsible for profitable Pumps PG sales growth. Proactively develop and identify sales opportunities as well as responding to RFQ's, RFI's and tenders, to ensure consistent growth year on year.
Having a winning mindset and ensuring responsiveness to customers.
Collaborate and work closely with Metso Market Area and multiple Business Line teams on Capital Projects.
Track & report market share and opportunity gap analysis, focusing on closing the gap.
Provide accurate budgeting and forecasting activities.
Prepare and maintain all customer records, using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Build rapport and respect as the trusted advisor for slurry pumping needs.
Ensure Customers receive first-class customer care and service.
Ensure that majority of time is spent having face to face interactions with the Customers.
Train key Customer personnel in application and operation of pumping products
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes, competitors and commercial influences.
Who you are
Experience in the area of Sales and Customer Relationship Management, focus on Capital projects with end users and opportunity development at site level.
Mining industry understanding and experience.
Result driven with "can do" attitude.
Experience in communicating and collaborating closely with sales, product management, services and customers.
Ability to think creatively, on the run.
Ability to fit in well with the Metso team and culture.
Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively and get face to face with customers is required
Knowledge of CRM based systems.
Strong networking skills.
Performance metrics.
Previous experience with Pumps, Valves, Hose or Hydro-cyclones highly regarded.
Ongoing development and training is provided.
