**About the role**:
This position is suited to individuals with a commitment to the integrity of the criminal justice system and demonstrated proficiency in the sensitive handling of complex legal administration.

The Paralegal works closely and collaboratively with the Division's leadership and legal practitioners to ensure all operational and administrative requirements are met and adhere to strict legal standards.

**In this role you will**:

- Provide essential administrative support, including managing sensitive communications, drafting formal responses, and coordinating complex documentation.
- Expertly manage responses to subpoenas served on the OPP. This includes identification, collation, review, and redaction of material, conducting negotiations under supervision, and ensuring compliance with legal production requirements.
- Assist solicitors with case preparation and legal tasks, including preparing complex correspondence and legal documents, assessing evidentiary material, performing preliminary legal analysis, and drafting formal memoranda.
- Collaborate to establish, implement, and monitor administrative processes, standards, and practices to ensure consistency and efficiency within the Division.

**You will have**:

- Demonstrated legal experience in legal drafting, analysis, and case preparation, within complex, confidential, and sensitive environments.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven capacity to establish and maintain professional, effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to conduct accurate legal research and prepare clear, concise, and professional written communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work with the highest level of confidentiality and to deal with sensitive information with appropriate discretion and judgement.
- Proven ability to maintain a high standard of work and meet demanding deadlines in a dynamic environment marked by competing priorities and constant change.
