**About the?Physiotherapy Department**:
This position is based within Austin Health’s Physiotherapy Department which forms part of the Division of Allied Health. The Physiotherapy Department comprises about 92 EFT staff at the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre.? It provides seven days per week patient clinical services and is a major clinical school for the University of Melbourne and partners with Swinburne University of Technology to provide clinical placements for graduate entry students. Research and quality and safety are major priorities of the department.

**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity to build your expertise in the management of patients with neurological injury, including stroke, non-traumatic spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury and functional neurological disorder; as well as other conditions such as post amputation, pre/post organ transplant, orthopaedic conditions and chronic health conditions.

This role sits within the broader Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Physiotherapy team of 15 people, including two exercise physiologists on site. You will have the opportunity to develop and lead quality improvement initiatives and strongly contribute to the progression of the exercise physiology service across all of Austin Health. You will also further develop your skills in complex discharge planning, including navigating NDIS and/or TAC processes. You will be part of a very supportive team with a strong culture, dedicated to providing excellent evidence-based, patient centred care.
