**The Role**

In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in:
**Data modelling and solutions design**
- Work with stakeholders to understand, prioritise, and document business and technical needs, ensuring alignment with project deliverables
- Document data using conceptual data models and data flow diagrams reflecting business use
- Identify critical data elements and design/implement solutions to align with policy requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to agree objectives and organise resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes

**Policy compliance assessment and reporting**
- Understand and be able to communicate policy requirements and purpose to diverse stakeholders
- Document and present findings to the project team and propose solutions
- Report on policy compliance, progress and platform adoption

**Platform assessment and adoption**
- Develop tools and technology requirement specifications in light of project objectives
- Assess market offerings in the data governance and data management space
- Create/maintain platform content and artifacts (business glossary, data catalog, data inventory, diagrams, lineage etc.)

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science or information management advantageous
- 4+ years of experience within a data management, architecture or consulting function
- DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or similar qualification advantageous
- Experience in information lifecycle management initiatives advantageous
- Experience delivering data management solutions preferably in a regulated environment (eg financial services, health, government)
- Data inventory, data modelling and metadata management skills and experience
- Sound understanding of data governance and data management concepts
- Strong understanding of data risk, cyber security concepts and related controls
- Exposure to a broad range of data types and technologies including on-prem and cloud-based
- Experience with data governance platforms like Collibra and Alation an advantage
- Develop, engage and foster relationships with key stakeholders by understanding their needs, providing recommendations and proposing solutions
- Use a trusted advisor approach to educate and demonstrate the value of data governance and data management
- Excellent attention to detail, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, documentation, presentation and meeting facilitation skills
