My NSW Government client needs a security systems administrator to maintain and manage their CCTV and Security control room systems and databases. This is a permanent role based out of the CBD.
The Senior Security Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, operation and technical support for numerous security systems, with a focus in CCTV management and access control systems.
The Senior Security Systems Administrator will be responsible for systems monitoring and programming; user, software and device administration; and maintenance scheduling and governance in conjunction with Parliament's commercial security providers. The Senior Systems Security Administrator will ensure the optimal operation of Parliament's security systems system, create system reports, lead system troubleshooting, and escalate incidents as required.

Key accountabilities
Monitor security systems performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
In conjunction with Parliament's commercial security providers, manage the installation, servicing, maintenance and commissioning of a wide range of electronic security products and systems.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations regarding the installation of security equipment including but not limited to:

- Access control systems,
- Alarm systems,
- CCTV systems, and
- Intercom systems.
Provide a 1st line of support for users with Security Systems issues.
Investigate security systems incidents; monitor and respond to any security alerts that are raised by the security systems.
Triage and troubleshoot Video and Access Control platform issues, including software issues, alarm events and remote resolution, coordinating repairs with vendors as needed.
Maintain user access profiles (including designated user groups) to ensure efficient and optimal operations of Parliament's access control systems.
Key knowledge and experience
Demonstrated experience managing a variety of large alarms, access control and CCTV systems.
Prior experience with GENETEC and Noggin will be well regarded.
SQL Server Database administration - networking and IP based protocols (preferable, but not essential).
Experience of IP based Video Surveillance systems
Demonstrated time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise a range of tasks for stakeholders at various levels
Demonstrated initiative, judgement and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a cohesive team and with mínimal supervision.
High standards of personal integrity and discretion and be able to maintain privacy requirements.
