**About Us**
With distribution centres across Australia and New Zealand, BGC Plasterboard and Fibre Cement produce premium quality value for money distinctive building products including various plasterboard, cornice and jointing compounds for internal lining and a large range of external claddings for residential and commercial projects.

**The Opportunity**
This role will see you working in key production areas that contribute to the manufacturing of quality plasterboard products for the building and construction industry.

Your typical day will include:

- Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements
- Adhering to all quality control procedures
- Operating fixed plant equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Undertaking product size changes for a variety of products
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment including fortnightly shutdowns
- Working in a team environment to achieve demand and quality products
- Maintaining and promoting a clean work environment

**What we’ll love about you**
- Previous experience operating fixed plant machinery in a manufacturing / processing environment
- A relevant AQF certificate III or higher qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience operating fibre cement or plasterboard machines and equipment or similar building materials processing equipment (such as ballmills, boilers, conveyors etc)
- Mechanical aptitude for machine setting, troubleshooting and able to use hand tools
- Excellent people skills with an ability to communicate effectively and work autonomously within a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Current LF Forklift Ticket (highly regarded)
- Current Driver’s Licence
