**About the Assignment**

The primary objective of this position is to primarily maintain fit-for-purpose reporting, data loading, management tools, guidelines, and integration strategies consistent with Santos Management System (SMS) design philosophies.

Key Accountabilities:

- Source, validate, ingest, curate, and present relevant (operated, non-operated and third party) geological data
- Maintain master data stores for geological and petrophysical data
- Guide subsurface geoscience professionals in best practice use of data management and work flows
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders across the subsurface geoscience community on subsurface geoscience data gaps and quality issues
- Prepare and distribute data and reports to joint venture parties, external vendors, and regulators (DEM, GSQ, etc.) as required
- Collate, integrate, and submit well completion reports and well proposals to the regulator
- Provide input into subsurface data and process improvements and share learnings with the team and, if warranted, the broader subsurface geology community
- Work unsupervised in areas of knowledge, share knowledge with others
- Understands change and performance mindset and participates to achieve desired culture outcomes

**About you**
- Exposure to geoscience data management
- Good understanding of database usage, document management systems and support tools
- Desired experience for this position includes:

- Experience with Petrel, Petrosys dbMap, Geolog, business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Spotfire
- Writing or collating regulator reports such as Well Completion Reports
- Exposure to coding SQL, Python or VBA
- Map making skills

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Date Science, Computer Science or Geoscience
- PPDM Certification
