Are you passionate about theatre, education, and bringing creative visions to life? St Michael’s Grammar School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Creative Production Assistant - Construction for 12 months to join our dynamic and high-achieving Performing Arts faculty.

This hands-on role is central to the success of our vibrant co-curricular program of theatrical events. You will be responsible for the safe and effective construction of sets and supporting with it’s implementation in performance as part backstage crew support. This role will be responsible for realising the artistic vision of each production through set and prop design.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Construct and fabricate sets from artistic drawings (CAD experience preferred but not essential)
- Collaborate with the production director on set and prop design
- Assist with navigating the logistics around realising set designs
- Maintain the school’s set/prop workshop
- Support the smooth running of events and engage with parents and the wider school community
- Has proven experience in set building and backstage production
- Possesses a broad range of creative skills such as building, scenic art, prop making and sewing
- Is organised, capable of working autonomously but also collaboratively, and above all passionate about theatre and education
- Can work flexibly to meet production timelines and event schedules
- A Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Level II First Aid Certificate is required
- Must hold a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
- National Police History Check (Obtained within the last 6 months)
