**About the Opportunity**
As the Bequest Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead the Bequests portfolio for a foundation directly impacting health initiatives that drive the best in patient care, medical research, and community health programs.

This is a newly created opportunity to implement structures and nurture the Bequest program which has huge potential for growth. Bequests revenue already sits at several million dollars per year, and this is your chance to further develop the program with a specific focus on nurturing and growing relationships with intenders, considerers and confirmed bequestors.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify, engage and cultivate relationships with prospects, donors, grateful patients and members of the community who have the potential to leave a gift in their will
- Develop and implement strategies to grow Bequest income for the foundation through a targeted Bequest program strategy and donor journey plans
- Plan, develop and implement individualised stewardship plans tailored to each donor
- Develop engagement activities with bequestors, through events, personal visits, calls, meetings and correspondence
- Work closely with the fundraising team to identify and profile current donors and supporters who would be Bequest prospects and develop appropriate strategies to approach such individuals or groups
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and identify cases for support to share with prospective donors
- Implement donor surveys and specific targeted promotion of Bequest opportunities, and follow up accordingly with each prospective donor in a timely manner
- Prepare stewardship reports and maintain a Bequest pipeline and moves management system, ensuring a systematic and strategic approach to the program utilising the CRM

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven success implementing and developing relationship fundraising strategies to drive the growth of a fundraising stream
- Strong donor management experience and the desire to build trusted and long-term connections with supporters on varying levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences
- High level stakeholder management skills and ability to establish collaborative and sustainable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management, administrative and organisational skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and report on metrics through the CRM
- The ability to think creatively, pitch ideas and develop new initiatives
- High levels of empathy and compassion
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, continuous development, and knowledge sharing with the enthusiasm to exemplify the foundation's values that promote integrity, compassion, innovation, collaboration and impact.
