Assistance Dogs Australia trains dogs that specialise in support for people with a physical disability, autism, or PTSD. They also provide a range of services such as Dog Assisted Occupational Therapy, animal assisted therapy and in-house programs. Their assistance dogs provide Independence, self-esteem, improved health and relationships to individuals and families - resulting in stronger and more successful communities.
Assistance Dogs Australia deploy a range of programs to support clients with a physical disability, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorder and a variety of facility-based programs.

**About the Role**

The Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager will drive the growth across major donors, corporate partners, bequests and trusts & foundations and manages a team within these areas. Work with the Executive to develop a strategy to drive revenue across these areas to achieve ambitious, yet realistic, targets.

We are looking for Fundraisers with a breadth of Fundraising experience across these channels, or Fundraisers who are specialists in one or more of these streams who are looking to diversify their experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop a Fundraising strategy to drive growth across major donors, corporate partners, bequests and trusts & foundations
- Develop a robust pipeline across these areas with a focus on prospecting, identification, cultivation and relationship development
- Create clear, impactful cases of support for a range of potential donors
- Develop donor journey, stewardship and communication plans to ensure that donors have a brilliant experience with the organisation
- Build a strategic moves management system; from prospecting through to gift conversion for multiple Fundraising streams
- Utilise the CRM (salesforce) and work with the Individual Giving team to review giving history and source leads
- Personally build relationships with and manage a portfolio of donors, soliciting high value gifts and partnerships
- Create tailored donor proposals, pitches and presentations for donors and partners
- Manage and build on a calendar of cultivation events across the portfolio
- Manage a small talented group of Fundraising staff and build this in to a high-performing team
- Provide financial oversight and reporting for the program within aligned objectives, deadlines and budgets
**Skills and Experience**
- Ability to develop and implement strategy across a range of Fundraising streams
- Experience in developing KPIs and budget plans
- A background in Fundraising portfolios across one or more of the portfolio areas to include Major Gifts and/or Partnerships
- Demonstrated success in working towards Fundraising targets and personally securing donations and/or sponsorships
- A strong understanding of donor journeys and stewardship plans with the ability to create high level communication plans for a range of donors
- Outstanding communication skills with a background in pitching and presenting to donors and partners, personally soliciting gifts/securing partnerships
- Ability to effectively manage, empower, mentor and develop a team to achieve Fundraising outcomes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with the executive, the board, internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop budgets and financial reporting
- A passion to work with Assistance Dogs Australia and support their fantastic programmes
