In this role, you are responsible for the management, governance and oversight of key Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) remediation programs

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Define WPB remediation policy in line with bankwide guidelines and industry best practice
- Oversee the execution of remediation programs to ensure timely remediation of both customer issues and addressing of root cause issues
- Provide regular reporting on remediation progress to local and regional risk committees and HSBC Australia Board and where appropriate for regulators
- Chair the WPB Remediation Forum
- Drive proactive initiatives to address weaknesses in current control environment and improve the speed of remediation
- Oversee investigations to ensure they are conducted in a thorough and timely manner

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications with quantifiable experience in Remediation, product at a Financial Institution and have a basic understanding of how products work.
- Proven record of effective management in a leadership role, including planning and decision making, identifying priorities and bringing a wide range of projects to successful completion
- Demonstrated experience delivering large scale business initiatives concerning regulatory and operational enhancement related to customer account opening/due diligence, within a Wealth and Personal Banking context
- Experience of managing resources in senior roles to achieve objectives using appropriate communication delegation and planning skills, and ability to mobilise resources across WPB
- Very strong stakeholders management skills. Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across the Group
