About the Role:
The purpose of the Tenders Specialist role is to act as the primary interface point between Momentum Energy and our broker and retail consultant external partners. They will be responsible for creating strong engaged relationships with our broker partners, and facilitate the creation of, and competition in tender opportunities. The Tenders Specialist will proactively follow up all tenders, looking to constantly reprice as the market or competitive position dictates to maximise the conversion in the tenders area. The Tenders specialist will work with the Channels and Partnership team to ensure Momentum Energy is regarded as the easiest retailer to deal with on any broker panel we are part of.
Your Key Activities Will Include:
- Ensure that all tenders are submitted within SLA, and that where appropriate opportunity is created to take advantage of a changing market to reprice and provide the most competitive offer.
- Understand and deliver to KPIs and commercial outcomes including, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the products, processes and procedures necessary to perform the role across all functions and business units.
- Provide market intelligence on previous pricing performance, as well as any other blockers to commercial success.
- Identify and action any areas of friction between the brokers and other partners and the Momentum Energy business to ensure we are providing a best in class service to our brokers as well as our customers.
- Identify and action opportunities to enhance the broker, tender and quoting experience.
- Develop robust industry and broker partnerships to maximise the volume and outcome of all opportunities.
- Create effective client engagement models and materials to increase prospects of conversion for tender opportunities
About you and Your Experience:
- Experience within the Energy Industry
- Experience within the Commercial and Industrial Segment of the Energy Retail industry.
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) to ensure information is effectively communicated to key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strength in sales
- Demonstrated strength in relationship building and partnerships
- A knowledge of energy or other relevant commodity markets
- An ability to undertake analytical tasks
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team,
- Strong business acumen, with an ability to negotiate mutually acceptable outcomes.
- Experience with using a CRM, preferably Salesforce
