Where the team fits in
- This role sits within the Proptrack tribe. Proptrack provides property data and technical platform solutions to customers in the financial and government sectors and the REA Group.
The Core Property Data portfolio forms part of the property data engine room of REA. The teams mission is to:
- Improve the quality, access and usage of our property data for staff, consumers and customers.-
- Build reusable data products and patterns that unlock value stored in our data-
- Create unique insights based on user, listings and customer data-
- Invest in the reliability, quality and security of systems and dataWhat the role is all about- Support the execution of the core property data portfolio strategy-
- The focus is on serving data to the wider business in an accessible way, as well as commercialising it via APIs-
- This role will support the API squad which consists of 1 Delivery Lead, 1 BA, 1 QA and 7 devs-
- Maintain a roadmap which balances current operational constraints, targeted delivery of value and long-term strategic goals-
- Effectively articulate the product architecture and value proposition to internal customers and stakeholders-
- Drive the adoption and usage of new and existing property data APIs/products across our business, our customers and new target audiences-
- Lead the team in development of new products and features end to end including discovery, opportunity assessment, ideation, development, delivery, launch, and support-
- Build close partnerships with our key internal stakeholder groups, understand their businesses, their customers’ needs, their environmental constraints, their tactical and strategic objectives-
- Closely track and provide deep insights into drivers of product performance using a wide variety of underlying data and key metricsWho we’re looking for- Experience in data analytics, data analysis, data product management or equivalent discipline. This role is very data focused and requires a high degree of technical competence-
- Experience in product delivery, ideally in an agile delivery environment-
- Experience in delivering data products and API solutions-
- The ability to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment-
- Experience in property data and data commercialisation is highly desirable-
- A platform mindset is critical-
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders-
- Can build credibility and work closely with teams across the business to help drive value into their experiences and audiences-
- Present complex ideas and concepts in a simple and compelling manner to diverse groups across the business-
- Adopt a whole of business perspective when solving issues and developing plans-
- Able to prioritise and work productively in a fast paced, sometimes uncertain agile environmentThe REA experience
