The Manager of the RTI and Privacy team is responsible for managing the operation of the Right to Information (RTI) and Information Privacy (IP) functions of the Office of Industrial Relations and will undertake internal review decision-making under the RTI and IP legislation. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining internal policy, improving the understanding of the importance of RTI and Privacy throughout OIR, and for providing high level input and expert advice to the Minister and departmental executives on matters relating to RTI and IP.
The Manager of the RTI and Privacy team has four key functions including
- Team leadership and management,
- Communication with stakeholders including briefings and internal consultation and collaboration,
- Training and education - provision of information and networking across OIR to improve understanding of the requirements of the legislation and keeping up to date with decisions from the regulator (the Office of the Information Commissioner).
