The Right to Information and Privacy Team are responsible for delivering contemporary regulatory and other Government services to Queenslanders.

The key responsibilities of the Right to Information and Information Privacy Officer are:
**Decision Making responsibilities**:
- Prepare a variety of correspondence, including decision notices under the RTI Act and IP Act.
- Provide oral and written advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding statutory obligations, compliance with the RTI Act and IP Act, issues affecting or likely to affect OIR and administrative release disclosures.
**Administration responsibilities**:
- Generate weekly disclosure log report; collate and compile completed disclosure log decisions for publishing; review and monitor content of published disclosure log in line with the RTI Act and ministerial guidelines;
- Coordinate document search requests across OIR, ensuring that searches are sent, received and processed within agreed timeframes;
- Update and maintain procedure documentation;
- Records management, including file creation, maintenance and archiving;
- Provide administrative assistance for preparation and delivery of training to OIR by RTI and Privacy;
- Provide administrative assistance and support, including ordering stationery; meetings coordination; onboarding new starters; document collation and transfer of documents to applicants and stakeholders;
- Engages in business support projects as operational needs require;
- Participate as an active member of the team by contributing ideas and supporting other team members;
- Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients and contribute effectively to the achievement of the team's outcomes.
