ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Operations is responsible for leading and optimising the operations function across Free to Feed, including the Experiences, Events, and Catering teams. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and alignment with Free to Feed’s mission and values. By building a positive, confident and inclusive team culture, managing budgets, and ensuring high standards of quality and compliance, the Head of Operations will play a crucial role in advancing Free to Feed’s strategic impact and enterprise goals and fostering collaboration across departments.

Your main responsibilities include:

- Driving operational excellence: Develop clear and efficient systems, and implement robust processes that align with Free to Feed's mission and meet commercial requirements.
- Managing budgets and contributing to strategic direction: Oversee financial performance, ensure sustainability, and foster collaboration to achieve organisational goals.
- Building and nurturing a positive team culture: Ensure team cohesion and promote a work environment that aligns with Free to Feed’s mission and values, encouraging engagement and growth.

ABOUT YOU

You’re an experienced operations manager with a knack for leading and developing high-performing teams while nurturing a positive, inclusive culture. With a background in catering and events, you understand hospitality deeply and know how to create efficient systems that promote operational excellence and sustainability.

You bring a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy, skilfully addressing the needs of team members and stakeholders. Your strong communication skills help you share complex information clearly with various audiences. You excel in collaboration, building meaningful relationships across departments, and remain calm and adaptable under pressure. With a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ethical standards, you promote cultural understanding and contribute to our mission of connecting cultures and achieving our impact goals.
