The Head of Middle School leads the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Middle School at The Scots College, providing educational, spiritual, pastoral, and administrative leadership. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality academic programs, robust pastoral care, and rich co-curricular opportunities that reflect the distinctiveness of a Scots education. As part of the College Leadership Team, the Head of Middle School works closely with staff, students, and families to foster a culture of excellence, Christian character, and care.
Who are you?
- You have a Bachelor of Education, and ideally, a Master of Educational Leadership, with significant experience leading in middle or whole school settings.
- You are an experienced educational leader with a proven ability to shape and drive positive school culture, improve student outcomes, and lead change.
- You demonstrate a deep understanding of middle years education, adolescent development, and the transition from primary to senior schooling.
- You have strong strategic, organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex operational and educational responsibilities.
- You are committed to student wellbeing, pastoral care, and the development of programs that nurture character, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
- You are able to inspire and lead a diverse team of educators and pastoral staff, building a climate of trust, collaboration, and growth.
- You bring a Christian faith that is authentic and integrated into your leadership and decision-making.
- You have or can obtain a valid Working With Children Check (NSW).
- You are reflective, purpose-driven, and committed to your own ongoing professional development.
