Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.

Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.

The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Retail and Merchandise Manager to lead the GIANTS retail and licensed merchandise operations. With greater demand for our apparel, this role will be vital to the growth of the consumer landscape through direct-to-consumer retail, licensing opportunities and merchandising. The Merchandise and Retail manager will own all streams of the GIANTS retail ecosystem, lead the merchandise operations team, and support the boarder club achieve its growth targets overall.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead all streams of the GIANTS merchandise operations including retail, online and match day including sales, inventory management, fulfilment and merchandising
Management of Retail and Merchandise team
Provide leadership and inspiration to your team through effective coaching and training
Ensure all customers are provided with a high level of service, product knowledge, and after sales support
Meeting sales targets and KPIs
Work with licensees to ensure the GIANTS have innovative products that represent the GIANTS brand
Implement brand visual merchandising strategies and promotional sales campaigns
Manage and procure stock to support across the GIANTS internal and retail streams, including supporting onfield and academy merchandise operations
Daily management of inventory to minimise stock loss and maximise sales
Prepare financial reporting aligned to GIANTS targets including but not limited to match day, campaign, monthly, quarterly reporting and forecasting updates
Activate and manage the merchandise store and promotions during all club driven events, fan days and corporate hospitality to ensure monthly revenue targets are met
Develop excellent working relationships with AFL licensees and club apparel partners
Be the main point of contact for all merchandise related questions internally
Lead GIANTS external events set up and POS including but not limited to AFLW match days, AFL games and fan days including Including overseeing of bump in/out processes, merchandising, stock transfers and casual staff

**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Knowledge

Strong experience in a retail/sales-based role
Experience in brand approvals and licensee management highly desirable
Ability to provide a genuine and unique customer experience
Whilst it’s not a pre-requisite, having worked within the sports industry is highly regarded
Strong communicator that is confident and effective in delivering engaging presentations and proposals
Strong financial acumen and understanding of settlement, and merchandise forecasting
Strong visual merchandising experience
