**The Role**
The Policy and Standards Branch (PASB), in Defence Digital Group (DDG), is seeking to recruit to the position of ‘Assistant Director Defence ICT Policy’. The Directorate of Defence ICT Policy is responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing the ICT Policy Framework for the Department of Defence.
In this role, you will leverage your Commonwealth policy skills and strategic thinking to develop and update ICT policies that reduce risk, standardise approaches, enhance direction and maximise capability. To do so, you will use your high-level stakeholder engagement abilities to collaborate closely with a full range of stakeholders across Defence and with Whole of Government and industry partners.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The Directorate of ICT Policy undertakes policy efforts to enable the CIO to define, govern, deliver and support a resilient Enterprise ICT capability for Defence. The ICT Policy function helps ensure adherence to best practice approaches, in support of the National Defence Strategy and the Defence Digital Strategy and Roadmap, while reducing risk and enabling DDG to pivot to meet new and emerging challenges.
