Are you able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team; provide a high standard of service delivery and clinical outcomes within budget, whilst complying with relevant legislation and regulations? Then this role is for you.

This is predominantly a supernumery role providing operational direction for the Critical Care Team to ensure efficient and effective management of the areas and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.This is a full time position.

Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services

**As a Critical Care Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing leadership and direction to the Critical Care Team comprising of a 6 bed ICU, 9 bed Coronary Care and 10 bay Emergency department
- Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
- Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
- Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

**Essential Criteria**:

- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent
- Post Graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- A management degree or working towards (desirable)
- Demonstrated HR management experience
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience and qualifications against the current Healthscope and VIC/ANMF - VIC nurses and Midwives’ - Enterprise agreement 2016-2020, a salary ranging of $61
