**Bring your admin experience and join the Heritage team, helping people with their stories.**:

- **SCHADS Level 2 + increase take-home pay with up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.**:

- **Part-time (0.5 FTE), Max term 12 months, based in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne CBD.**

**About the opportunity**:
Our Heritage Service is dedicated to supporting past residents and their families affected by adoption or out-of-home care provided by the Presbyterian, Methodist, and Uniting Churches.

We help people access information about their own or their family member’s time in care, offering guidance and support to help them understand and connect with their past. It’s important work.

As the Admin Officer, you will support the Heritage team by carefully preparing records for release. You will scan and index documents that are part of someone’s story and may be quite old, so it’s crucial that every page is respected.

**What’s on offer**:
In addition to base salary (SCHADS Level 2) and superannuation, you **can increase your take-home pay **by accessing up to **$15,900 in salary packaging benefits**, which can be used for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and more.

It’s a part-time role (0.5 FTE) for a maximum term of 12 months. We have some **flexibility** around work hours and can accommodate 3 days per week or 5 days across a fortnight. Days are also flexible - except Tuesdays when the whole team gets together in the office.

We offer a friendly and inclusive work environment in a **great location** in Wesley Place, Lonsdale Street. The building offers concierge services, amazing end-of-trip facilities, and events such as free Yoga and well-being sessions.

There is also the option to **increase your annual leave entitlements** through our purchase leave program. You can access a **10% discount** on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre and we also offer a **25% discount** off donated goods at Uniting Op shops.

**About you**:
You are an experienced admin officer with an interest in heritage work. You know your way around Microsoft Office, Adobe, and scanning equipment.

You are also able to read and decipher handwritten records.

It’s your exceptional attention to detail and record-keeping that will set you up well in this role. Being part of a small friendly team, your initiative, helpfulness, and can-do attitude will also make you a great fit.
