**Data Management Specialist**

Leading Australian Super fund requires a Data Management Specialist for a 12-month contract based in Sydney, CBD.

As a Data Management Specialist your role will see you work closely with their team to ensure that their data management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:

- Develop and maintain data management policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a data quality program to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our data.
- Establish and maintain metadata management standards.
- Manage the data lifecycle, including data classification, retention, and disposal.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs.
- Identify areas for improvement in data management processes and make recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management.
- Develop complex SQL queries to manipulate and transform data as needed.
- Use experience and knowledge of the superannuation industry to assist in the development and implementation of effective data management solutions.

**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- Experience developing policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines related to Data Management
- Familiarity with financial regulatory standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
- Strong knowledge of metadata management, data governance, and data quality practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate policies and procedures to stakeholders.
- Experience with data modelling and database design
- Proficient in SQL
- Superannuation industry experience is ideal.
- A hybrid work model is in place.
