**Your new company**
This large and diverse Federal Government Department is seeking an EL1/EL2 Strategic Policy Officer for a labour hire contract until the end of the financial year.
**Your new role**
In this role you will oversee the communications activities of the team and ensure the delivery of clear and targeted communications products and policy documents. You will produce a coordinated, strategic communication plan for the Unit as well as high-quality documents including communication artefacts, briefings, policy documents, new policy proposals, and other publication material and web content.
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed, you will be able to demonstrate significant APS experience at either the EL1 or EL2 level in a strategic policy/communications role. You will have a demonstrated history of successfully leading small teams working at the intersection of data and policy, exercising initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and how it is effectively and sensitively communicated. You will have sound stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills and will have superior communications skills to lead and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders.
