**Key Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with ministerial offices, parliamentarians, and federal agencies.
- Strong background in managing government relations strategy and initiatives, ideally within a Federal or State Government setting.
- Professional experience as an adviser to a minister or senior parliamentarian, or in a government relations, public policy, or advocacy role.
- Ability to network, build, and maintain an intimate understanding of political party dynamics and government machinery using strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Political acumen and experience with issues management in a sensitive and high-profile environment.
- Proven ability to quickly and clearly synthesise and articulate complex issues.
- Strong project and account management skills, with the ability to set clear priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the energy sector or climate change policy is advantageous but not essential.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in government relations and public policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage high-level stakeholders.
- Exceptional political judgement and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and initiatives efficiently.

On offer is a 2 year labour hire contract.
